Thursday Football Results

First, Lakeland cruises past (Lauderdale Lakes) Boyd Anderson. The Dreadnaughts won 30-6 and appear to be coasting toward another state title. Lakeland (4-0) now have a 49-game winning streak, and the team’s offense is beginning to catch up with its overpowering defense, which completely shut down Boyd Anderson’s talented RB Chris Anderson and company. Another big matchup in the Treasure Coast region saw West Boca come out 14-13 winners against rival Boca Raton in a District 4A-14 title. This was a game that had no shortage of verbal exchanges. Here is the Palm Beach Post’s game story and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s game story.
Coconut Creek defeated Cardinal Gibbons 15-14 on a 41-yard field goal by Rafel Walisiewicz. Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna defeated Coral Springs Charter 37-22.
In other action, Cooper City defeated Coral Springs 52-27, Palm Beach Lakes defeated Seminole Ridge.
