Team Breakdown was a 69-60 victor against the Blazers in the quarterfinals of the AAU 17U Junior Boys Basketball National Tournament, and will have to go through another Georgia team to reach the championship. The Georgia Stars are a talented crew featuring two players who have committed to Wake Forest. The Stars reached the semifinals of the Nike Peach Jam 17U tournament earlier this summer.

Breakdown Coach Kenny Gillion’s squad features Kenny Boynton, a slashing guard who can hit perimeter shots with the best in the country. He’s only a rising sophomore. Providing some strength inside is 6-6 power forward Bo Reliford.

Florida had another team reach today’s quarterfinals. The Ambassadors, though, lost to King of the Court (Ohio).

The fourth team still contenting for a national championship is the Westchester Hawks Select squad that beat out the Alabama Challenge to earn their slot in the final four. Westchester’s road to the final four included eliminating last year’s national champion, the D1 Greyhounds (West Virginia), and a thrilling victory at the buzzer over the Rising Stars JG Blue (Illinois).
