Copying photos to team sites, while only uploading once to your personal site:

1. Click on the “MyPage” link on the left side of the main menu. There are tabs on the top of your page. Click on the “My Photos” tab to see your photo albums.

2. Click on the link under the photo album to “Copy photos to teams”.

3. After clicking on that link, you can copy the entire album to teams, or copy selected photos in the album to one team, and selected photos to other teams.

Either choice above will launch a window in which you choose the teams to copy the album to. Use the search form to pick each team. You can pick multiple teams at one time.

4. After you check off the teams, click on the “copy photos to selected teams” button, and follow the prompts to copy the photos.

How do I add teams to my favorites, my teams page, and My LocalReplay?

Click the “add to favorites” link at the top right corner of every team web site to link that team to your personal pages and views.

We’ll start with our favorite free photo cropping/editing software - lrfanview. Cropping your photos before uploads can make your uploads five times to twenty times as quick, and not sacrifice how your photo looks on LR.

If you have a bunch of large photos and you want to crop them all at once so your uploads are faster, then lrfanview is for you. This is the review from CNET’s editors:
This image viewer and editor is a longtime favorite among our staff, and with good reason. IrfanView is simple, fast, and free for individual use. Upon installation, the app attempts to install two Google programs, but if you don’t want them, you can choose to opt out.

The program lets you open and edit images, as well as multiple media formats. You can cut and crop images, apply batch conversions, add, sharpen, or blur effects, create panoramas, and change color modes easily…(link to full CNET review and lrfanview download site)

To use lrfanview for batch cropping:
1. Use the file menu to access the “batch conversion/rename” feature.
2. Click on the advanced options button towards the lower right of your screen and check the box next to “RESIZE” then set the long side to 500 pixels. Below that check off the “Preserve aspect ratio (proportion)” option. This will result in either the height or width (the larger of the two) being scaled to 500 pixels, and the shorter side being scaled proportionately so that the aspect ratio and quality is maintained. 500 pixels enables your photo to look great on LR, while keeping the size of each photo small enough that your uploads will be fast.
3. After you set the advanced settings, ensure that the check box to use the advanced setting is checked on the main screen.
4. Add the photos you want to crop (can do 100s simultaneously) to the input file list on the left of your screen, and set the output directory as the folder to which you want the cropped photos to go. When the files are listed on the left of your screen, hit the “start” button to start the process.

1. Make sure you are logged in
A. When you are logged in, it will say “Welcome (YourUserName)” to the right of the LocalReplay logo towards the top left of your screen.

2. Start from the team web site that you want to upload to
A. If you are registered as a content producer, the photos will automatically be linked to your channel (about an hour after they go to the team web site).
B. Use the Quick Search tool on the Teams page to find your team. You can add a team if the they don’t have an active site yet.
C. On the front of the team web page is a section for “recent team photos”, and a link at the bottom of the section that says “click here to upload your photos now“. Click on “click here to upload your photos now”, and the photo upload wizard will start.

3. After you enter the album info, the wizard will bring you to the photo upload tool.
A. You can crop the photos before uploading to speed up your upload. You should set your photo editing software to crop the photos to a max dimension of 500 pixels (and keep the aspect ratio so that the other dimension scales accordingly). If you are not familiar with photo editing software that can do this, then read this post for a link to a free download of good, easy to use software that will batch crop photos for you, and directions on how to use it.
B. Click on browse to find the photos on your computer
C. Select the ones you want to upload (you can do up to 100 at a time) and they’ll go into a list.
D. When the list looks good, click on “Upload” below the list.

How do I move photo and video highlights added to LR by other people to my personal LR page?
Click on the add to my favorites link that you see by every photo and video, and it will be automatically added to your personal page.

Can I add photos/videos/stats from multiple teams/sports?
Yes, you can link as many of your teams/sports as you want, and we’ll keep track of each season’s information and highlights, so that you can for example look at information and highlights specific to the 2007 season, as opposed to the 2010 season.

Can I upload photos/videos directly to my personal page?
Not yet. For now, upload the photo or video to your TeamCard. Then just click on the add to my favorites link that you see by the photo or video to move the photo or video to your personal page. Note for producers: when you upload photos or videos to team web pages, they will automatically show up on your channel, about an hour after you upload them.

Can I start a StarCard for my child?
Yes, and you can choose to make the StarCard “private” or “public” by choosing to display a full name, a nickname, or no name (completely private).

What else I can do with my personal pages?
Add custom avatars and profiles (you can include stats). Others can click the “add to friends” link at the top right of your StarCard. When they do that, you’ll get a request from that person which you can accept or reject. If you accept it, you’ll be added to each other’s networks which in the future will enable you to get messages when there is new information, photos, or videos posted to a team, player, fan, coach, scout, or channel that is in your network.

What happens when I add LR web sites to my favorites?
Links to those pages will be saved on your personal page for easy access, and in the future you’ll be able to choose if you want notifications when those sites get new info, photos, videos, etc.

Is my team web site already activated?
To find your team, search for your team on our Team web site index page, using the quick search capability. If you choose a city, then the search tool will show you all the teams within about 30 miles of that city.

Who can start a new team web site?
Anyone that is a part of that team including players, coaches, and fans. Use the create new team wizard and you’ll have your site ready to be shared with your entire team and community in about a minute.

How does my team get statistics, schedule information, booster club information, and team records posted on our team sites?
Contact us at support@localreplay.com and we’ll provide you with templates.

Will my team be charged for uploading photos, videos, stats, or other information?
No. We want all teams to be able to use this site. Other sites that charge teams monthly or other fees cause only certain teams to be able to afford it. Instead, we keep our costs low, and charge only our advertisers and sponsors.

Can my team’s parents and fans upload photos and videos to my team’s site?
Yes, as long as they are registered (free) We review content, but only reject content if it is not related to local sports, or is inappropriate or offensive.

I already have a site for my team, but it costs me money and doesn’t have unlimited photo and video capability, however I don’t want to lose my web address…can I keep it?
Yes. We can map your web address to your new LocalReplay site so that your fans can continue to use your current web address.
